Church Picnic for Beaver County Byzantines (and friends & guests): Sunday, August 17:

The annual parishes picnic on the grounds of St. George Church, will be on Sunday, August 17. St. George’s Men’s Club will once again be supplying and grilling the meats, and St. George’s Ladies Guild will be preparing the main side dishes and setting up the picnic buffet. Everyone is asked to bring (potluck) side dishes, desserts, or beverages. We are once again having the very popular basket raffle and will be accepting donations of various theme baskets. Friends of St. George Church are invited! More details to follow.

A MORNING RULE OF PRAYER

Upon awakening, stand before the holy icons, make the sign of the cross, and pray:

O God, be merciful to me a sinner. O God, cleanse me of my sins and have mercy on me. O Lord, forgive me; for I have sinned without number.

Psalm 50 Prayer of Repentance:

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your great mercy. And in the abundance of your tender mercies, blot out my offense.
